Why so long between post?

Well - no "news"...but I have been nesting like a crazy women the past week or so...which means lots of random projects I just "HAD/HAVE" to do before the baby comes. One of those - FINALLY putting ALL of Kegan's pictures from the past 27 months into albums...soo...about 4000 pictures later (nope...not really exaggerating either) I am done with that and decided to update the digital world, too. Due also, to my nesting I did not pull out the camera too much...well for me...but here are a few pictures to go along with the update on little man and little man 2!

I would say our biggest task at hand with Kegan is potty training...clearly as seen from my last few post. I am happy to say, that although there are still some accidents here and there little man is in undies 100% of the day and only wears pull-ups at night - yeah for Kegan, yeah for cutting some diaper/pull-up cost...right before we start all over again. He really is doing well, though - with going #1 and #2.

He loves loves loves to count - he counts everything. We were in the store the other day and he started counting the lights on the ceiling - he counts 1-10 perfect...then he says something like 11, 12...then he goes to 18 and will stay at 18 repeating that...I don't know...but it is funny...and shows he understands numbers go higher than 10!

I have realized he has a fabulous memory. He is great at retelling stories...remembering things from earlier in the day, a few days before, and recognizes places with memories he has made there and will tell you all about what he did, or where this and that street leads (ex: he always says "Gramma's house" when we pass by the entrance to the Setliff's)...but I had not clue how far back his memory went. Lots of his baby toys, swing, bouncer, tummy time gym have come down from the attic and been cleaned for Ty - he remembers them all and how work - some were put away when he was 1 or not even 1...crazy! Needless to say we have LOTS of conversations about him sharing his toys with Ty and how they are for the baby and that Kegan can help baby Ty learn how to play on/with these toys...hmmm...we will see how it all goes.

One more sweet story and then on to pictures: Kegan had pulled a toy out of Ty's drawers and we were talking about sharing with Ty and him getting to show Ty how the toys work. Well, Kegan walked over to me, with the toy, pulled up my shirt so he could see my belly, and held the toy up to my tummy for "Ty" - oh...how sweet!!!

Picture time:
Helping mommy make bread. He loves to stir things for me...

Early math skills - measuring out the flour.

The best part - kneading the dough with your hands!

Dancing around in Ty's room in his whitey tighties!

The Texas trail riders were riding through Edroy last week and Matthew got Kegan up to go see them...Kegan loved it!

Plumbers crack...haha...he even has some tools in front of him he is playing with...

"Daddy's dirty boots!"

Helping mommy and daddy measure things out and hang things in Ty's room. Guess who else had a pencil behind their ear that night while working....
(You would think he really knew what he was doing by the serious look on his face)

Tuesday afternoon Shannon ( a friend of mine from Stroller Strides who had to move this week) came over with her kids for some play time and we took them out to the farm to ride on the tractors - a Texas memory before moving East.

Notice the short and t-shirt - yep it has been that warm here...in February!
Doing a little work on the bull dozer

What a happy face!

Ahhh...nothing like kicking back on a Saturday morning in your undies and boots with a good book!

Helping daddy sweet out the garage. (One of Matthew's honey-do's on my nesting list of things that HAD to get done!)

Trying out the double stroller from Grams...I think he likes it. In fact, he crawled in it himself, sat down, and pointed to the empty seat and said "baby Ty seat".

Someone decided he needed some peanuts...and well needed to do a little cleaning up...

Getting ready for a bike ride with daddy. (Nice outfit...I know!...haha)

Ty's room is not totally done - I am waiting on some letters to come in with his name and still a few touches here and there...but this gives you a glimpse of what Ty's bedding and room look like.
I was SOOO excited when I got the bedding in last week - I washed it right away and had it up in the room before Matthew got home. I had a lady make it for me - whom my sister suggested after one of her friends had used her - I LOVE it! Just a quick plug - I have been so pleased with working with Michelle (the maker of the products) and absolutely LOVE what she did, I wanted to pass on her blog site if anyone is interested http://www.mytayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/

Like I said - his room is not fully done (some picture frames waiting for pictres of Ty and a few things here and there for the shelves and walll), but that is the bedding and theme...so fun to have that up and finished!!!!

Counting the days...and hoping the doctor says this baby is coming sooner when I go see him on Monday...Ty is getting to be a load to carry...haha!!! Well...really we just can't WAIT to meet him!!!!

Everything looks so good in Ty's room! I can't wait to see pictures of him. Did you get a suburban? That will be great for hauling the boys and their many supplies around :)
Kegan is looking so old. I can't imagine how big he will look next to Ty.

The room looks so good - maybe one day those letters will come in! ha ha!

I think there needs to be a picture of Karsyn, and Kegan, and Ty in western wear in the three picture frames above his changing table. Just giving my suggestions! I'm not biased or anything! :-)

Can't wait to meet Mr. Ty and come down to see you guys - it is going to be so hard not being there at first, but it will be nice to have my own private time with you all.

Love,

Wendy

So glad you love your bedding! Presley has the same exact blanket but of course, pink!

Ty is a beautiful baby...Rachel and I looked at Wendy's blog and saw he'd arrived and Rachel thought he was a c-section baby he's so perfect.

When I had Logan someone asked me "is your second child's birth as special as the first?"...my answer...more so, to watch your first experience the second is so rewarding!! Enjoy the boys!
