I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas...and that is what we got :)

Ok, MANY pictures are to come of Christmas, but here are some very cute videos of Kegan, Karsyn, and Matthew playing in the snow. Kegan has found a love for playing in the snow! :)

On Christmas Eve we had gone to the Bass Pro Shop, around lunch time, to meet one of my cousins who was in Grapevine...TONS of snow started coming down...it was SO pretty! Huge Huge flakes everywhere...so thick - oh...we loved it! Here they are throwing snowballs:

It snowed pretty much the rest of the day, so on Christmas morning there was a nice bit of snow all over the ground. The kids played in some snow beside Uncle Nolan and Aunt Wendy's house, that afternoon (pictures will be posted later) and that night Kegan found a fresh batch that had not melted durring the day, to go run and play in at Gram's and Popa's house. Three short videos of that fun time:

Lots of cute pictures and HUGE smiles to come...but just a few short clips to show Kegan's first white Christmas.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, also! :)

Kegan Preforms and a little more...

Last Tuesday Kegan had his Christmas school preformance and boy did he ever "preform" perhaps not on que or with the group...but he did preform... :) (...and we learned: Do not sit so close where he can see us/get to us!)
A few videos that captured the moments:

Kegan's proud brother waiting for the preformance to start.

Always alert and ready...haha..

there is that preformance smile...haha..CHEESE

Anyone ready to huddle up?

Whatever he can do for a laugh...

sweet love (I am sure they will be very imberressed about this picture in a few years)

So proud of Kegan

Thursday
I found a new way to keep Ty entertained: He stood at the door and watched those dogs for an eternity in baby time...so at least 5-10 minutes...haha..

We got there in time to check-out the end of Kegan's school Christmas party

Happy Ty enjoying the festivities, too...

Thursday night Mtthew and I went to a Sunday School Christmas party and Matthew won a lovely singing Jack-a-lobe in the White elephant gift exchange...the boys loved it Friday morning...

Just a picture I Loved :)

We have ourselves a crawler...

Well, last night, after church, Ty took his first few wobbly moves forward in a real "crawling" position! Matthew had sat Ty down in our room with some Toy while he took some things to the kitchen. While I was bringing things in from the car, I looked through to door and saw Ty, up on all fours, looking like he was about to crawl, and as I stood and watched and made the first wobble wobble attempt to scoot his knees across the floor and move his hands forward. Then this morning he did it some more while we were all playing in his room - still short distances, still not very cordinated and still a bit slow on the get up and go....but he is doing it! :)

A Farmer's Christmas and a little more from last weekend

Last Saturday, while I was at a baby shower for a friend at church, Matthew (and James - hehe) got to take the boys the the annual STIC Taft Christmas party! From what I heard and the saw in the pictures below, they had fun! :)

Matthew said that when they walked into the store, Kegan made a b-line, not for the tractors (like normal) but for this man - Santa. Kegan climed right up in his lap, got his stocking treats and got ready for pictures!

Ty was not as thrilled - ha!

Kegan also got a way cool tractor painted on his face!

Do you remember how Ty's head size was in the 90%...well a little proof - this is Kegan's toddler size hat on Ty's head. I think he looks SO HANDSOME! :)

Two handsome cowboys!

Takeing a ride on a horse

Big brother taking care of little brother

Kegan and his friend August (who is not too sure about Kegan's driving) hanging out on a gator

That night we went over to Uncle Josh and Aunt Stephani's house to celebrate Stephani's birthday.
My very unsucceful attempt at taking a picture of Whitley and the boys...but here it is :)

Kegan playing a game on Steph's phone (am I looking a few years into the future - not visiting with the family, but playing with a phone instead???? - hopefully not)

Kegan and the birthday girl enjoying cake :) yumm-o

Ty requesting some more cake from none other than the one who always sneeks him treats...Pampa

Sunday morning
I loved this little outfit. (Thanks Shannon)

He know's he is cute

Merry Christmas y'all!

Ty - 10 Months

10 months, 10 months... Ty is 10 months! (and a few days...)

We had to visit the doctor yesterday because Ty had been fighting a not bad, but persistent, cough for a while and according to the check-up Ty was 29 3/4 in (grew 1/2 in a month) and 23lbs. (he grew over 1/2 lb. in a month)...personally he feels a little heavier than 23 lbs. :)!
Ty also has his 2 front teeth in (1 fully and another just starting out) and it looks like a 3rd one is about to pop through on the top! He fully uses those teeth, too...yes to chew on everything, but also to munch on food, from beans to cookies and cheerios, and even fish...yummy!

Along with growing and growing he is also increasing in skills! While holding on to something, he pulls himself to his knees a lot and has pulled up to his feet a couple of times. His favorite thing to pull up on is mommy's arms and neck!
Crawling - backwards, some and forward, almost! I just know he will crawl in time to be into EVERYTHING Christmas morning...haha :) Now, all that being said, he can "get around" small spaces fairly well...in some very unconventional ways.
He babbles on and on....about something...but he really looks as if he is having a full blown, LOUD, conversation with you...or something...hehe! When I sing "If You're Happy and You Know It" he babbles along and starts to clap his hands...his entire face lights up - he loves that song! Oh yes, another thing - he clicks his tongue. I noticed him do it about a week ago, so I did it back and now if I click mine he will start clicking his tongue - so cute!

Ty is quite the charmer and is now in that "flirting" stage. If we are in line somewhere he is peeking around my shoulder smiling at the people behind us and when out to eat, he looks around restaurants and finds someone looking at him and proceeds to offer them the biggest smiles of appreciation of their attention. In fact at Whataburger the other day, he noticed an older gentleman smiling at him so he started to peek down low then pop his head up and then low again (like he was playing peek-a-boo) - he started the game - too funny!

A little conversation:

Where is Ty? All I see is a great grin... ;)

I love these rolls!

and precious growing feet

A not so happy Ty, but I had to get him in his monthly shot! He has grown!

Now there is my happy little man!

I will let these tell their own story!

The end!

Snowy Weather, A trip to see Santa, Tree trimming...and a once horse open sleigh

Well...it seemed appropriate considering this blog is just a bunch of stuff complied together we have done over the past few weeks.

First off, Dec. 1, Kegan met his special elf. (Look up Elf on the Shelf if you do not know what I am talking about - it is pretty cool). This little elf who appeared on our counter the first of December was sent by Santa Clause to watch Kegan and Ty this month and each night he flies back to Santa to give him a report, then each morning he will fly back to our house, finding a new place to sit and watch the boys (he has been on the mantle, in front of the window, decorative boxes, and even in the refrigerator). Now, according to the book the Elf brought with him Kegan got to pick the name. Conversation between Kegan and I at this point went as follows:
Me: Kegan what do you want to name your elf?
Kegan: Umm...Sally.
Me: (a bit confused...and wanting to double check)Did you say Sally or Silly?
Kegan: (very mater-of-factly) Sally
Me: (still in wonder of this name and were he came up with it) Is Sally a boy or a girl?
Kegan: A boy
Me: Ok then...we have a Sally the boy elf

A few days later I found out where Sally came from.
While Kegan was playing with his Cars stuff he decided to give Sally the elf the Sally the toy car...OH....I got it! That is where Sally came from. Sooo...all things considered, I guess it was either Sally or Mator the elf and Kegan decided Sally was more elf like.

Wednesday, December 2 - We went to see Santa Clause with our playgroup. Kegan loved Santa - walked right up to him, waved at him and began to talk to him - well, good, no fear of big, white beards, and red suits - check.
Group picture

Ok, Ty was doing ok - backed him into Santa's lap so he did not really know whose lap he was on - did not cry through any of the group pictures being taken. However, when Kegan ran to go look at the trains after the group picture and I ran to get him to come back for his and Ty's picture with Santa, Ty started to cry...and this is what we got for the boys Christmas picture - not screaming...but not really super happy, either.

Trying to get a picture of the 2 boys together in front of the tree, in their hats...
We got this...

or this....

Thursday evening it started to really get cold here in Corpus, so Matthew lit a fire - very nice!
Kegan was enjoying staying toasty.

He even helped me decorate the tree that night.
Umm...what good is a tractor ornament if you can't drive it around for a little bit, first?!?

Can you guess where Kegan helped me trim the tree??? (so precious - I loved the time with him and seeing how excited he got about helping me hang the ornaments...even if he did have to double check all the unbreakable ornaments I handed him by pounding them on the ground to make sure they would not break....nice!)

Friday, December 4 - SNOW...it snowed in Corpus Christi...not much, and not for long, but it did snow (mostly sleet...but some real snow, too!!!) Kegan was with his daddy and Ty was sleeping, so I just took some picture real quick...then ran back inside to the warmth!
The only pictures I snapped that showed the snowflakes good enough to see them.

The "accumulation", if you will, on the front flower bed

Tuesday, December 8
Helping mommy unload the dishwasher, by playing some back ground music and giving great grins

It was Uncle Kyle's birthday and he just happened to be in town for work, so we headed over to the Setliff's to celebrate with him! (I did not have my camera out when Kegan was helping Uncle Kyle blow out his candles, but I did get some cute one on Gramms's camera, so maybe I can grab those from her and upload them...2 mischievous people - Kegan and Kyle - together = some very funny pictures)
Loving the balloon!

I love this face!

Entertaining Pampa with the balloon...haha...

Aunt Stephani and Whitley were able to come over also.
She is thinking about something, here.

Ok, Whitley is already tired of my picture taking and Kegan...his eyes look a bit sleepy about it, too...

Wednesday, December 9
Another cold day in Corpus, but that is ok when you are all bundled up and snuggled under some blankets!

Play group Christmas party
Ty and his friend Sadie

Boys will be boys (Kegan is jumping in the back with the red shirt)
Bouncing and jumping around...

...followed by some tackling

Group shot

After the picture, when things started to fall apart...kids moving, slipping, laughing and crying...but for about 10 second they were good...hehe....

Ty and another little friend
First he teases him and offers him the toy

Then (check out Ty's face) he screams because he wants it back

Hmm...didn't realize I was ending on that one...oh well! What a character he is.
Ty did trun 10 months (can you believe) yesterday and I took some 10 months pictures and videos and I will try to upload those, soon...till then some stories.

I am started to learn that my son, Kegan is quite the lady's man. There are a number of momma's at school who have told me their daughter's go home and tell them all about Kegan, a good friend of mine at church has decided Kegan would be a good choice for their daughter to marry, and one little girl at playgroup started crying and said that she wanted to paly with just Kegan (not the other boys, just Kegan) and he said, I am a boy and I am playing with boys, no, I do not want to play with you....well, maybe that line is not quite the lady's man at his best...but still, oh...it makes me laugh. He is a little cutie, though!

I will put all the Ty updates with his 10 month post...because I liked things to stay organized...sorry. :)
