Today, when I was walking up to the daycare to pick Kegan up, I looked up and saw the school's director, Sharon, walking out of a door in a building next to his, and down the ramp, holding Kegan. In my mind I was thinking, "Oh no...he must have been REAL fussy and she took him out and about to calm him down." However, as soon as she spotted me, she waved hello and said that she just couldn't help herself and had to walk around with him. She told me she had gone into the baby room to visit and saw Kegan looking at one of his toys and went and talked to him. When she walked away, she said, Kegan just gave her the saddest little face that just said, "Take me"...soooo...she picked him up and was making her rounds with him. It was very sweet. He was just as happy and content as could be. I would like to point out - I have not seen her walking around with any of the other babies - I've seen her holding them in the room, but not taking them around with her. Like I said, who can resist that little face of his!?!...hehe....
Here is just a cute picture I took of him today in his cute dinosaur outfit Grams gave him. For those of you who know Kegan, you can tell he is just talking away in this picture. Little man just opens that mouth wide for a BIG smile when he is happy!
We had some play time tonight. In the past couple of weeks we have started putting him in his play saucer (thank you ladies in the neighborhood). He can barely touch the bottom with his tip-toes, but he still manages to swivel, move, and look around. As you can see he is really starting to notice and explore things around him. He loves these little spinning wheels (they make different noises). It is fun to watch him play in it and see his face as he notices the toys and what they do.
I love this picture - it looks like he is saying to himself, "OOOO...What is that?"
"I am just going to reach out and try it for myself!...hmmm...That is a funny sound."
Finally, here is a picture of Kegan talking on the phone. (I had put my mom on speaker phone and he was holding on to it...too cute!) It is a skill he is going to have learn early. For those of you who know Matthew - you know what I mean! :) Notice the play phone laying beside him - we have already been practicing! :)

Well, I know I couldn't resist that face! I would have picked him up, too. What a smart little boy - already trying to figure out how the toys work. Humm - I wonder if he'll be one of those that take apart his toys just to figure them out :) I did enjoy talking to him, but it will be nicer when he can talk back, babbling is nice, but what fun actual words will be! Oh, I miss him so - oh, and you and Matthew! Love, Grams
He is so smart!!! I love reading your updates Mrs. Setliff. You are obviously an amazing mom! Lucky Kegan!
Love ya!
