What a great weekend we just had! Grams and Meme came down for a visit - ready to play and have fun!
Saturday afternoon while Kegan and I were playing in his room, the doorbell rang, Kegan looked up and said, "Daddy!?!"..."No, not daddy", I said. Then, with a huge grin on his face, "GRAMS!!!!"...and he RAN to the front door.
(side note...in pictures to follow, Kegan is wearing his undies, not super short green shorts...eek! - we are working on the potty training...half-heartedly, but working...doing ok...)
Kegan excited to see Grams and Meme!
A special letter had arrived from Grams and Papa that week, and since Grams was coming down I decided to wait till she was there to open it with him. The letter was not just any letter...it was a singing Elmo Christmas card!
(look at those legs...and shoes...)
Singing along...
A short video to hear Kegan singing "Jingle Bells" with Elmo (and Meme). I will try to get another one of him to where you can hear him better and he is singing more of the song - still, this video is well worth the watch...so cute and funny. (Pause the Christmas music playing so you can hear him!)
A foil "hat" he grabbed off the table that had been keeping our bread warm...
(spaghetti all over his face...it is messy but he loves it!)
Later that night....(one of those..."Mom, I will not like this when I am 10 and up..." pictures!)
Sunday - Church day. Well, the whole family was dressed up in their Christmas attire...but of course I forgot to get a picture before church and Kegan was out by the time we got home from church and lunch.... It was a good day, though - Kegan enjoyed playing with Grams and Meme all day, and that evening while Matthew and I went to church.
Monday morning. Kegan was so eager to play with Meme he had her sit and play with him at the table before she could even eat her breakfast...and of course she obliged.
Hahah....another one of those, "MOM....when I get older you better show this to NO one!" pictures...I don't really recommend the socks and crocs look...but it was cold and he wanted to crocs on around the house...so this is what we got.
After a bath that evening...we opened gifts from Grandma and Pappa (mom brought with her) and from Meme...and Gram's silly stocking stuffers.
Ready for gifts.
Out little elf helping to pass out gifts.
Opening up...
This was a present decoration...Kegan loved it, though, and was walking around with it and hugging it...Thanks Grandma...
Checking out the Tractor book Meme got Daddy
Kissing his learning bear from Meme...
OOO...more presents...wow!
Cute smiles between Kegan and Daddy
They always say the box is the best part...
Hahah...Karsyn, this one is for you. I put the bow on Kegan's head (much to Matthew's delight...look at his face back there) and Kegan looked up and said "Like Karsyn!". Haha...do you think he sees Karsyn in bows a lot???
Opening gifts with Grams...
Playing with tops...he found these quite fascinating.
OOO...an Elmo book!
Reading another Elmo book with Daddy. This one is about pottying - it has buttons to push with the story that makes sounds. Kegan liked "flushing the toilet"!
A stocking stuff from Grams - wheels, trains, bright colors...woo-hoo!!!
Haha...another silly stocking stuffer...he put these on and said, "oo...yello!"...Then attempted to walk around the house with them.
Nice Matthew...nice!
Kegan thinks it is funny, too!
Back on little man.
We had a great time with them - sad to see them go, but happy because we will see them in just a short time.
Now - on to last minute Christmas preparations and some Christmas cooking and baking...where I am sure I will have a little man eager to help...at least with splashing around water with the dishes!
