Saturday morning Kegan, Matthew and I got up...at 6:30. He does not yet seem to get the concept that weekends are meant for sleeping in just a little later than usual. Well, anyways, we got up and played for a little bit (he was in a great mood!) and got breakfast around 7:15. Matthew had left by this time, so Kegan and I played with some of his toys till we had to get ready for his chiropractor appointment. For those of you wondering - it really does seem to be helping with his acid reflux - crazy, huh? Kegan did real well during the back massaging and little neck message (NO POPPING OF ANYTHING!) but he did NOT want to lay down to have his belly worked on - usually he does not mind this - today however, he was not going to have it. It was so pitiful - I was helping hold him so he did not roll off and he looked up and back at with with eyes that just said, "Oh, Mommy, do I really have to...are you going to let this happen to me?"...then he screamed it. The doctor stopped, played with him for a few minutes till he was giggling and smiling again and then finished. It still amazes me to watch the doctor work on such a tiny person.
After that we took lunch out to Matthew in hopes of riding on a tractor while they were planting the grain. Look, Kegan even got dressed up in his overalls for the occasion. (The picture at the top of the blog site was taken this same day.)
However, as is always true on the farm - things were a bit crazy and errands needed to be run, so we just road around with Matthew in the truck. Kegan did not seem to mind - that diesel engine put him right to sleep. Hopefully I can get some pictures this week of Kegan on the planter and I will post them. Won't he look so cute up on a tractor!?!
Sunday, we all got up...again at 6:30 per Kegan thinking it was a school day. That is ok though - it just gave us some extra time to get ready for church. Doesn't he look just so grown up and adorable in his church outfit?!?
After lunch with Matthew's parents, we came home and Kegan supervised as I trimmed a tree in the front yard. This ended up being an entire afternoon ordeal since Kegan and I stopped once to lay him down for a nap ( I got a lot down during that hour) and then for a bottle. We ended the evening with church and dinner with the youth (all of which he slept through). Like I said, an easy going weekend - but a nice one...with some good pictures!!! :)
