4 month Update

One tired baby...

These were taken last night. We did not pose him (except the washcloth)...and he was not blinking when the flash went off...he was sleeping. He slept through his entire bath last night, except when he opened his eyes for a brief second when I was putting soap in his hair. It was rather adorable - he was just snoring away as peaceful as could be!

This morning we trekked off to the doctor's, again. This time we were going for his 4 month wellness visit. Highlights of the visit included: Kegan now ways 13 lbs. 2 oz and he is a loooong 25 3/4 in. ...which is a little over 2 ft. tall -Wow! All his developmental skills are on track (holing up head, cooing, responding to sounds, etc...). The doctor also said not to worry about all his spitting up because he is growing just fine, but Kegan did get put on a higher dosage of his reflux medicines for the next month. Kegan is also going to start having a little bit of cereal in his bottles. The doctor said it should help him keep his food down better. No news as to whether or not to try and "feed" him cereal, so we will avoid that for a little longer. as for his cold - the doctor said it takes a while for babies to get over colds and that as long as he is around a lot of other babies, he will probably get every cold that comes in, till his immunity is built up. One thing positive, about this - he is building his immunity. The visit concluded with 4 shots and some drops in his mouth. He did great with the drops - he has had a ton of practices with medicine - ok with the first shot, screamed on the second shot...and kept screaming through the last two.

Matthew and I often talk about how fast time is flying...and it is...very fast. I can't believe Kegan is already 4 months old. He is such a blessing from the Lord, and a joy to Matthew's and my heart. We can't picture life with out him. Just looking at him, hearing him breath, seeing that smile...too many little things to mention, are priceless treasures!
