I just wanted to quickly update with what Kegan has been doing these past couple of weeks. (There are no pictures today - I am in Plano this week and being the non-computer savvy person that I am - I am not sure how to download my pictures from my camera to a computer here - I think I would need some software that I don't have here...so...pics from my camera will have to wait. Hopefully I can get some from Gram's camera later.)
Last week Kegan went to his first Vacation Bible School. I was working with 2nd graders and Kegan was being loved and sharing smiles in the nursery. The ladies there just love him - they always brag on how much he smiles and laughs! That was pretty much the excitement of the week. Kegan did try beef for the first time - he liked it better than the turkey or chicken, but it was still spit back at me a few times...and gaged on. Sweet potatoes are still his favorite!
On Sunday Kegan and mommy flew into Dallas. Kegan was WONDERFUL on the plane trip. He did not cry once. He enjoyed looking around at all the people and looking out the window at a different view of the clouds! Now, I must admit, I had some help. The sweetest couple (about my parent's age) sat down next to me on the plane and they played with Kegan and talked to him. I was having to rearrange some stuff as the plane was getting ready to take off and the lady (Jo Ann) offered to hold him and then ended up holding him the rest of the way to Houston. In Houston we made an unexpected departure from the plane and had to wait a bit to get on another plane and Jo Ann and her husband Jim helped me the entire time with Kegan - even making sure we made it on our pre-boarding (which I must say is a great perk of traveling with a baby...you can get there with a boarding pass "c" and still get on the plane first). Then once on the plane to Dalles ( I saved a seat for them - it was the least I could do) Jim ending up holding Kegan for the trip. I found out it was his birthday and he said holing Kegan and getting to play with him was the best birthday gift...awww!!! Kegan - already making friends where ever he goes with his charm!!!
Ok - so we finally made it to Dallas and Grams met us at the airport. That night, Kegan was shown off to some of my parent's friends they eat with on Sunday nights. Kegan blessed Mrs. Debbie with some spit-up...hmmm...maybe not always the charmer. She did not mind though - she kept holding him and playing with him.
Monday we had a restful day at home and ran a few errands with Grandpa - Kegan spit up on him a few times, also...as you will read in bit...he likes to mark everyone with a little bit of that! That afternoon my friend Becky came over to meet Kegan - he actually did not spit up on her..way to go Kegan! Monday night (and last night) Kegan and I went to help Grams and Grandpa at a backyard Bible club they are helping with this week. Once again, he charmed everyone there - other adult helpers and the kids, too! I did not even get to hold him too much - he was being passed around and sharing grins and giggles. He did so good both nights!!!
Tuesday Kegan and mommy went and did some running around and then my friend Angela (Goo) came over to see Kegan. Now, Angela was the friend who Kegan would just stare and stare at when he came up to Plano in January...and he still enjoyed her - just laughing and playing and yes...spitting up a little on her - multiple times. Oh, little man.... That night, after Backyard Bible Club, Kegan got to meet my friend Laura. He was having some bathroom issues - poor little guy - we will just leave it at that - and I think Laura said that all added at least another 10 to 20 years of how long she will wait to have kids - j/k...maybe. She did though, comment on how cute he was and how much he smiled (this was all after the matter had been cleared out).
I have been so proud of him. Kegan just is so content and chill about stuff. He meets new people wonderfully and has been in the greatest mood these past few days.
Ok - tooth update. When looking in hid mouth and peeking at his gums - which he does not want to show me - I can now see a spot that looks like a tooth is ready to sprout. The gums are red and there is a little con-caved area (it looks like when a kid has lost a tooth and is ready to have the permanent one come in)...and according to Goo something felt very sharp while he was gnawing on her finger. Plus, Kegan has been sleeping a lot. That is cool with me though - if he gets through teething with just sleeping a little extra that would be great. I am sure that would be a lot easier way on him, too!
I will try to get some pictures up before I leave. Till then, Kegan is going to be staying busy meeting new people and showing off his cute little smile to everyone!

So good to see you and Kegan today! He is as wonderful in person as he is on your blog...hard to imagine, but true. Give him squeezes from Gram's friends at TI.
