First, to explain part 1 of the title - "Conversations with God":
* Two weeks ago, our church had their Vacation Bible School and they church had a class for the teacher's kids who were 2 (VBS starts for kids at age 4...so this was something differnt for the VBS helpers kids). Anyways, Kegan was going to his class, loving it, making lots of friends...and from a story I heard from the teacher, even prayed in front of all the kids after their Bible Story one day. She said they could not understand all the words...but he was seriouse about his prayer! I guess hearing about Jesus so many days straight got his mind thinking because about mid-way in the week we were sitting on the couch at home talking and Kegan looks at me and ask, "Where is Jesus?", so I told him He is in Heaven, but that he is also here with us watching over us, and that got his mind thinking. Next question, "Can we call Jesus?" - sure Kegan. He then proceeds to whip out his pretend phone and say "Hello Jesus!...Whatch ya' doin'?"...then talks a little more, hands me the phone and says I need to talk to Jesus, so I talk, and hand the "phone" back to him...this goes on for 3-5 minutes - so cute...and what a great experience. We can just "call" on God whenever we want to talk to him.
*Now, story 2 on conversations with God. Matthew was having a REAL tough day and had asked Kegan and I to pray for him as we left the fields this afternoon (this will be important later in the story but we had been riding the combine with him and dumpping the grain into 2 diffent 18 wheelers, a red one and a white one). He was headed off to work on a grain elevator. Kegan said, "ok Dad, I pray for you." Later today, after his nap, Kegan wakes up and ask about Daddy. We call him and he is still working on fixing the elevator and says to keep praying for him. Kegan and I say good-bye to Matthew and when I hang up the phone I ask Kegan if he wants to pray for daddy....or I can. Well anytime you tell him you are going to do it, he then proceeds to say, "No, I do it." "Ok Kegan," I say, "you pray." We be bow our head and close our eyes and Kegan follows with a prayer that went something like this: "Dear Jesus, be with daddy....help daddy with the truck...some things I could not understand...the red truck...something about an elevator...and some more things I could not understand...amen! It was the sweetest and most sincere prayer. Later that evening I was telling Matthew about the story and he stopped me, saying "Wow, never underestimate prayer, especially that of a child." Matthew then proceeded to tell me that right after we got off the phone he was FINALLY able to fix the elevator and it worked great the rest of the day - wow!!!
The rest of the title, what we have been up to, and what they are learning will be told with teh many pictres that follow!
To set us back to how long ago it has been since I posted....

I walked out of Ty's room to get something from the kitchen and when I went back in, there was Kegan sitting infront of Ty, with his little Bible in his hand, singing "Jesus Loves Me" to Ty...melt a mommy's heart!
During the week of VBS, the kids to a preformance for their parents of the songs they have been learning on Wednesday night. This year the 2 year old class even got to get up and sing a little song with their motions. Below are some pictures and some short clips of Kegan preforming on statge.

haha...what is that face, Kegan?
Ty and Daddy..look at Ty's gut here...
Sunday, afer church, we took Kegan to his grandparents and Matthew, Ty and Gail headed down to Brownsville/Mexico for a mission trip with our church. I don't have pictures to share from Kegan's time here, but from what I heard and the pictures I was shown, he had a blast...outside of one day down due to a cough and trip to the doctors. Otherwise, they played in the water, went to the Aquarium, and played lots and lots of ball. He even made some very yummy cookies for Matthew and I.
The Mission trip was a great time for the rest of us. Matthew would go into Mexico each day and help other men and ladies from the church put up walls, run wiring, paint, etc...on 3 houses in Mexico - he said it was all very humbling. We have so much and want more, they have so little and are so happy with what little they get.
I was able to stay back and help a few other ladies with kitchen duty - we would get up at 4:30...yes in the morning...ahhh...haha...and start cooking a home made breakfast at 5 am and getting the coolers and ice chest ready for everyones lunches and drinks! The workers would get there around 7 am eat breakfast and leave for the day- we would then clean up, get the groceries for dinner and for lunchthe next day and start preparing for dinner that night...it was a long day, but I loved it!!! Ty, he was a trooper and just stayed happy through it all. He would swing, play on his play mat, sit in his boppy and watch what was going on...or just whatever.... We got many compliments on what a happy child he was and how content he seemed. What great things to hear.
Here are a few pictures I snapped that week.
I see you mom!
Oh, yes...I forgot, Ty had a "first" while down there. He held his own bottle for the first time!
Talking to Mar Mar
Chillin' with the grillin' group
showing off his happy disposition
sweet grins with Mar Mar
We got back home late Thursday night and were so excited to see Kegan - we had missed him! Nothing is sweeter than having your little boy yell when he sees you and as quick as he can get to give you a hug!
Friday June 26th
playing outside together
trying to include Ty in on the football action (no no..he did not throw it at Ty...)
being the mom that i am, I of course had my camera with me that night when we went and got Matthew some new work boots...and I thought Kegan looked cute, so I snapped a few. (You can not see it in these pictures, but Kegan is wearing his jeans. When I told him we were going to look for some work boots for his daddy, Kegan insisted on wearing his ''working jeans'...haha)
Saturday, June 27th
I needed to water my plants out front so of course Kegan decides he is going to "help"....it was hot and there was a water hose in a 2 year old's hands...I think he got more water than my flowers..but he did try to sacrifice and put some water into the pots of plants.
watering himself so he will grow...haha...
I guess I will water a plant...
I love the look on Ty's face, here. It is like he is saying, "Mom, what is going on here?"
Posing for a picture...everyone is all grins now!
hmm...do I have some vain children? Both of them trying to look into the mirror (That is another big thing for Ty right now - he is FACINATED with himself in the mirror...stares and stares and stares)

What sweet pictures of the boys!
Karsyn loved the videos - we had to watch them a number of times!
We can't wait to see you at the end of this month!
The Kegan prayers are so sweet. The faith of a child....
Love the many faces of both boys - to sweet little clowns!!
Less than two weeks. I'm so excited.
I love the conversations with God stories. Faith is so real and pure when seen through the eyes of a child. We can really learn a lot from them. The other day I asked Patrick at the Kutztown Folk Festival wear the yarn came from that the lady was darning...he said God, everything comes from God mom!:)
I love your blog. You are such a great mom!
Great pictures! Your boys are getting so big! Love your posts as always :0)
