Merry Christmas!

haha...and this is how you keep Christmas going just a little longer - you wait till mid-January to post about it - ha!

We did have Christms up in Plano and it was wonderful. It was such a joy to see Christmas through the eyes of a child - so fun - Kegan finally really "got it" this year. Most important he did understand, to a 3 year old's ability, that we were celebrating Jesus's birthday and could tell us bits and pieces of the nativity story. He also "got" the whole Santa thing, which as tons of fun. Just total trust in the magic of it all - how great to see that joy in the things we don't fully understand but still believe. Christmas morning there was a note for Kegan, from Santa, and Kegan thought that was the most amazing thing ever, and knew right away who the letter was from, we did not even tell him. Oh, then to see the pure joy of the fun of snow through the kids joy of it - oh it was all just so wonderful! Too far behind to catch up on ALL the stories, but it was a great, and fun day! :)

A look out the door on Christmas morning!

Warming up and waiting to open gifts :)

sneeking around

Waiting for breakfast - one of the last years we will be eating a breakfast before we open gifts, I am sure the day is coming soon...

Popa holding Kegan off, with a game of rolling the ball, just a little longer to unvail what Santa brought (under the sheet)
A few family shots!
Nolan, Wendy, Karsyn and Coleman
Ok - here is why I love this shot. Do you see my family sitting there ready for our family picture? Well, so did Miss Karsyn, right was Wendy said she was going to take the picture, Karsyn jumpped up form her spot and darted infront of the camera with a big giggle. Little turkey knew what she was doing! (I think her Uncle Matt is rubbing off on her, little prankster)
Family pictures - smile (no really, Kegan, smile)
All smiles, now
mischeviouse face
Finally, Santa time
Kegan "reading" his letter form Santa that explained how Santa knew the art eisle would not fit in the car, so he left special instructions for Kegan and his daddy to put it together once they got home...Kegan thought it was the coolest!
Playing with his sword. He was so excited to see this in his stocking. He had wanted it and told Sally (elf on the shelf) to tell Santa that night when he flew up to the North Pole. Christmas morning "Sally told Santa about the sword!"
Playing with what Santa brought him
Huntin' down in the stocking
What did you find, Ty?
toot toot
jingle jingle (such a sweet face)
and tush...
Just thought it was a cute picture
Cousin teamwork getting Popa's "heavy" present to him.
**Funny story: this was present #2 that the kids had taken to Popa. Once over there Kegan
looked at him and said, "Popa, you have too many presents." haha...I guess we all have a 2 present limit? I don't think he was too crushed when everyone got a little more than that...
tearing in...
One dotty kid ready to paint in his art apron
Playing with some new toys
Silly kids (Karsyn got a sleeping bag to go camping in and so they both had to try it out)
Hey mom!
With presents done, the men started to work on a late lunch...while Kegan supervised while playing in the snow!
(I was trying to get him "next to" the snowman they made...instead he kept getting "in front of" the snowman...and he was a bit anxiouse to play and not take pictures...can you tell by the look on his face?)
tromping around

Enjoying a new toy later at Grams and Popa's house
Fresh snow at Grams and Popa's that had not been played in....let's go!

Kegan's snow angel
Then a few more on the days after Christmas, before we headed home.
Hey Ty
Sweet boy
Ty playing in the tub - he loves the water
no fear of water on the face, here

Ty and his great-Grandma
I thought this was cute of Karsyn
I think someone has learned that those boxes usually meant a fun new toy!
Popa's form of entertainment - give the kids a plastic worm (lure) and show them how to stick it on their nose - silly kid!
Huge difference between girls and what I will not being seeing at my house....haha... I don't know how many dress items Karsyn had/got...but we saw them all...many time 3-5 in one day.... :)
"Entertaining" Coleman
The day before we left it snowed, AGAIN!

say cheese
how does it taste...a little like a leaf?
brrr....

snow ball fight!

trying to catch a snowflake on his tounge

One last romp in the backyard snow

I had to laugh here. Karsyn got her clothes all wet from playing in the snow, and we had some extra random clothes of Kegan's at Grams and Popa's so Karsyn barrowed some of Kegan's pajama pants and the shirt....but she had to add her "girlie" touch with the pink, fluffy, tiara - :)

I loved this picture of Coleman - so ADORABLE....GREAT grin!!!!

silly cousins....once again (trying out some of Popa's warm hats)....haha...

Good memories and a wonderful time! :)
